Are you interested in learning more about climatic changes and its consequences for urban climate? Are you eager to learn more about sustainable urban planning? Do you enjoy discussing interdisciplinary perspectives and options for action with international peers?
If so, then join our Forster Summer School 2023, hosted by the Faculty of Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Geography and Geosciences at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Your participation as a Bachelor, Master or PhD student offers you the unique chance to discuss current scientific positions with experts and international peers in an interdisciplinary setting.
“Forster Summer School 2023 explores – urban climate. Adaption, development and sustainable transformation” and is dedicated to scientific findings and controversies on urban climate, the influence of vegetation, changing human-air relations as well as green and smart city designs. Come along with us to discuss possible approaches for long-term and sustainable improvement of the urban climate and identify opportunities for action – on a regional, global and international level.
You will discover Mainz and its surroundings, develop your language and cultural skills. The program will be held in English. The accommodations in a youth-hostel near the University are pre-booked.
