Study in Berlin – Summer and Winter

FUBiS is an intensive academic program of Freie Universität Berlin through which students can earn credits. Sessions run for 3 to 6 weeks taking place in summer and winter.

FUBiS is an intensive academic program of Freie Universität Berlin through which students can earn credits that may be counted toward their degrees at their home institutions. FUBiS sessions run for 3 to 6 weeks and take place both in summer and winter.

The FUBiS program 2024 takes place in three terms:

FUBiS Term I: January 3 – January 26, 2024 (3 weeks)
Registration for Term I is open until November 22, 2023.
FUBiS Term II: June 1 – July 13, 2024 (6 weeks)
FUBiS Term III: July 20 – August 17, 2024 (4 weeks)
Registration for Term II and III opens in December 2023.

Students can choose between subject courses (mostly taught in English) and German language and culture courses. The 50+ subject courses are offered within the fields of Architecture, Art History, Politics, Law, History, Media Studies, Economics, Sustainability, Literature, Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, and Music. The German language and culture courses are offered on up to five different levels of proficiency.

Field trips are an integral part of all our courses. In addition, FUBiS offers excursions such as to the Berlin Reichstag and a river boat tour through downtown Berlin, walking tours through Berlin, or day trips to Potsdam and Leipzig.About: FUBiS is one of the largest and most experienced programs of its kind in Europe, providing students with an excellent study abroad opportunity.
