Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

During the upcoming virtual AInet 4/2021 from 26 to 30 April, we will visit AI research hotspots in Germany with a focus on data science and artificial Intelligence. The participating institutions will cover a broad field of research and give you an overview of the manifold possibilities the German AI research landscape offers young researchers. Our host institutions, like the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data, the Competence Center for Scalable Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence or the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS, are covering various research areas from cognitive perception, ML for data management, responsible AI and semantic retrieval. As participant, you will not only get to know their work  through virtual visits but connect directly with our hosts and share your work through 1-to-1 meetings. We will also support individual visits to German research institutions as soon as the travel restrictions allow for it.

Are you an experienced PhD candidate or postdoctoral researcher in the field of artificial intelligence who is looking for a new experience? The Postdoc-NeT-AI offers the opportunity to participate in an intensive virtual program where you connect to leading German researchers in your field. Further, we support customized one-week information-visit to Germany as soon as the COVID-19 situation permits it. You can find the fellows and report of our last tour at our website.

 The funding includes:

Participation in a virtual tour program and arrangement of one-on-one meetings;

  • participation in various information sessions and other
  • activities prior to the virtual tour and as follow-ups;
  • financial and organizational support of a tailored individual onsite-visit to relevant institutions in Germany.
